Elise's 2nd Birthday: April 6, 2008

Elise was well-prepped for her second birthday by the numerous pretend birthday parties Leah has thrown for her over the last few months. She picked out her own dress, and even managed to stay in her chair for most of dinner.

One gift from my parents was a flower garden kit, including a watering can. Being my daughter, she immediately knew what to do with it. In the picture below, she is pulling her grandmama up by the finger and repeating, "Mo wawa peas," which means "More water please." Since she was the birthday girl, she eventually got her way, and they watered some of Mimi's plants.

When I asked Elise what kind of dessert she wanted for her birthday, she said, "Pink cake." And so it was strawberry cake with strawberry icing and rainbow sprinkles. Unlike last year, she actually ate her cake!

What a beautiful big girl! We love you, sweetheart!
